Groundskeeping Committee

We are searching for Stonerise residents that would like to participate on the Groundskeeping Advisory Committee (to be formed) and assist in the Community Clean-Up Weekends. Please contact us through the contact form below to volunteer or if you should have any questions.

The G.A.C. will need assistance with the following:

      • Clean-up crew members who own and are willing to participate in safely operating chain saws, mowers, and raking and using their vehicles to haul off debris.

      • Maintenance and repair of the basketball court at the community park

      • Assessing the need for application of weed killer, fertilizer and grass seed at the community park

      • Assessing the damage and determining course of action for repair of the irrigation system at the community park and the front landscaping along 86th Ave.

      • Application of moss killer on sidewalks and road verge throughout Stonerise

      • Assisting in the maintenance of the area around the gates, gate tower and front gardens along 86th Ave.

      • Repair and replacement of mailbox structures.
        (*Note: Homeowners will be responsible for purchase of their own mailbox, white in color and recommend it be locking)


Cleanup schedule:

      • January - March: It's YOUR responsibility as the homeowner or tenant to do this work.

          1. Brush trimming on your property to promote a safe and clean Home Ignition Zone,

          2. Removal of "over the fence discarded" brush, lumber, and anything that is "down and dead" within 5 feet of your fence.

      • April: (Weather Permitting) Meet at the cul-de-sac at the corner of 197th St Ct E & 84th Ave E to facilitate planting and cleaning of front area along 86th Ave

      • May: (Weather Permitting) Meet at Community park to develop a game plan for repairs of community park.

Workday supplies:

  • BYOB: Water, Gatorade, etc.

  • (recommended) Protective clothing (long sleeve shirts, long pants, gloves, hat, etc)

  • (requested) Rakes, wheelbarrows, branch trimmers, chainsaws, shovels.
